With this rig there still is a spare magazine available for a reload if needed, but if the auto suffers a mechanical malfunction that cannot be readily corrected, the availability of the dependable revolver is provided. This idea originated from my experience as a parachutist who had a sophisticated main parachute that was backed up by a manually operated "emergency chute".
